Dr. Lindsay Maples
Dr. Lindsay Maples was born in Cottonport, Louisiana and raised in Gainesville, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Florida and went on to study at the University of Florida College of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2008. While in dental school, Dr. Lindsay participated in many community service projects and programs to help provide care to children in the community, and also went on multiple mission trips to Honduras to help treat countless children abroad. Dr. Lindsay received the Kramer Award of Excellence for demonstrating scholarship, character, and potential promise in the filed of dentistry and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.
Dr. Lindsay completed her pediatric dental training at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in 2010. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Jacksonville Dental Society, and the Northeast District Dental Association.
In her free time, Dr. Lindsay loves spending time with her husband, Andy, daughter, Maggie Grace, their dog, Charley, family, and friends. Her favorite things to do are cooking, running, hiking, traveling, and cheering on the Gators and the Jaguars.
Dr. Michael Switkes
Dr. Michael Switkes received his college degree in 1975 from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He then attended Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York City where he received his dental degree and specialty certificates in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. After teaching at Columbia University and maintaining a private practice in Manhattan, Dr. Switkes moved to Jacksonville in 1981 and opened his private practice in 1982.
Dr. Switkes is married with 3 children. His wife, kids and myriad of friends are very happy that he loves to cook. He is an avid sports enthusiast and outdoorsman. He is presently a volunteer with the Mali Washington Foundation and enjoys being an advocate for all children.
Laura Casanova-Gillrup (Dental Assistant) was born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico and moved to Jacksonville in 1998. She graduated in dental assisting in 1990 from Ramirez College in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, and she has worked in general dentistry, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry.
Laura is married with two sons and enjoys yoga, Latin dancing, music and movies. She loves the warm Florida weather and spending time with her family.
Stacie Cribb was born and raised right here in Jacksonville. She has worked in dentistry for 16 years; 13 years with Dr. Switkes and now Dr. Maples. Stacie has two dogs, Ollie and Neffy, and enjoys music, paddle boarding, camping, yoga, and hanging out with family and friends.
Roberta Fedorowich is from Fleming Island, FL and graduated from Orange Park High School. She has been involved in pediatric dentistry for 25 years. Roberta is a newlywed and has 2 children. She enjoys live music, cooking and hanging out with her husband and children.
Letty Soto is from El Paso, Texas, and has lived in Jacksonville for 24 years. She has spent 24 years in pediatric dentistry and 4 years in general dentistry. Letty has been married for 36 years, has 2 daughters and one granddaughter. She spends her free time sewing, cooking, shopping, camping and dancing.
Susie Wheeler is from Jacksonville and has been in dentistry for 34 years.
Susie is married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Two horses, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats and a guinea pig round out the family. Susie enjoys gardening, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and grandchildren.
